Toyota recommends 0W-20 full synthetic oil, and with modern engines, the interval extends to 10,000 miles under normal conditions, but if you're towing, hauling, or hitting the trails regularly, we strongly recommend coming in every 5,000 miles. We top off all fluid levels, inspect your brakes for wear, and do a full visual check of belts, hoses, and the undercarriage. 60,000 Miles: The Major Service Milestone
The 60,000-mile service is one of the most important appointments in your Tacoma's life. This is when we replace the spark plugs, which directly affect fuel efficiency, starting reliability, and engine smoothness. We'll also flush and replace the coolant to prevent corrosion inside your engine block, and inspect the serpentine belt for cracking or glazing. Brake pads and rotors are evaluated closely at this interval, and many Tacomas will need new pads by now depending on driving style.
